Pregnancy is a very precious and important event in a woman's life. It is one of the happiest periods in the life of women. The pregnancy is a condition of a woman or female mammal from conception until birth. With recent advances in obstetrics the little life inside the womb can be visualized from the very first day of fetal life, from the moment of conception until birth. Childbirth usually occurs about 38 weeks after conception; i.e.. approximately 40 weeks from the last normal menstrual period (LNMP) in humans. The world Health Organization defines normal term for delivery as between 37 weeks and 42 weeks.
